Festive Gala Marks the Second Chapter in the Boo Tera Story

Author Eileen Kennedy continues her children’s book series with Festive Gala, the second installment set in the imaginative town of Boo Tera.

Where the first book followed a Halloween walk through the neighborhood, Festive Gala moves the story into a different kind of celebration. Readers are welcomed into a barn transformed for a royal-styled event, hosted by a family dressed as king, queen, and princesses for the night. Silent auctions, handmade crest shields, festive costumes, and a showstopping dragon cake fill the pages, all built around one line that anchors the entire book: love should never hurt.

At the center of the story is a young princess who lights up every scene she’s in, thrilled to share her big day with family and guests alike. Grandparents, honored guests, and a warm cast of townsfolk round out an evening that feels less like a formal affair and more like a family reunion in disguise.

“This book grew naturally out of the first one,” said a representative for the author. “The setting changes, but the values stay the same: kindness, inclusion, and a real sense that everyone in Boo Tera has a place at the table.”

Festive Gala is available now, alongside the first book in the series, Welcome to Misfit Lane, for families and young readers ready to spend more time in Boo Tera.
