Boo Tera Comes to Life: Eileen Kennedy Launches Two-Book Children’s Series

Author Eileen Kennedy has introduced young readers to Boo Tera, a whimsical town at the heart of her new two-book children’s series, Welcome to Misfit Lane and Festive Gala.

Written for readers ages 1 to 12, the series follows a cast of playful, big-hearted characters through two very different occasions. Misfit Lane takes readers on a Halloween walk through the neighborhood, meeting neighbors preparing for the Boo Tiara Festival. Festive Gala follows a royal-styled family hosting a joyful celebration filled with auctions, costumes, and cake.

Both books share a simple message at their core: everyone belongs, kindness goes both ways, and there is no such thing as normal or abnormal in Boo Tera.

Kennedy, a longtime medical professional, mother, and grandmother based in Maine, created the series as a family project, drawing on her own experiences to shape stories that are playful on the surface and thoughtful underneath.

Welcome to Misfit Lane and Festive Gala are now available for readers and families looking for gentle, imaginative stories with heart.
